Ok so I'm board, but not board. Board in the since, there is nothing I want to do. This blizzard has us all wondering what am I going to do now. Cook something, eat something watch another movie, text someone, call someone or whatever, just something. After the Blizzard on Monday evening I had Kennedy Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Well needless to say we played dolls, doctor, store and had art class and cooking class watched a couple of movies, drank hot chocolate and did anything else we could think of doing. I really love that little toot! She says "Gigi, are we Snow Bound?" She just is so on the ball with everything.

So now I have time by myself and want to enjoy it because I don't get much alone time, but I don't know what to do with myself. I can think of a bunch of stuff I need to get done, but none of it sounds like what I want to do and I keep telling myself.. do something you will enjoy! All that other stuff eventually does get done but here I sit with the computer in my lap, doing ZERO!

Well just thought I'd update this with a few things. Life is grand. But motherhood a second time around is different to say the least. Didn't plan to play mom by my self ever again, but life has a way of doing it's own thing without asking your opinion.

Tuesday and Thursday's we have Gymnastics and KK totally loves it. She doesn't stop moving from the time we get there till we are in the car leaving. She bounces and hops and skips continually out of happiness!

She is very happy all the time now, no fussing seems to like the schedule and structure the way it is. She is doing very well at school - Actually even had the head of the school tell me how well and what a changed little girl KK is this year at school. Very well behaved and using her manners and also using her Spanish very well. She is outgoing in class now and participates in everything. So very happy to see the changes in her.

She is teaching me Spanish at bedtime. We have these Spanish playing cards and she mixes them up and makes me say the word, but I don't know them... She thinks its funny, but really I have no clue.. She tells me the word and I have to say it just right or she laughs at me and makes me say it again. She is so good and it is helping me a bit too.

This little ride was really fun, they both liked it alot. You sit back on this seat and watch this big screen in front of you and while the screen is showing a roller coaster or rail road in a coal mine going out of control, the seat vibrates and tilts and wiggles and makes you feel like you are actually on the adventure. Their facial expressions were really great!

3 Years Old

I just had to post this. Last night Kennedy was riding her bike up and down the street with no help, just pushing those peddles one after the other. She wanted to just do everything herself. "By My Self" she would say. She has turned 3 years old and matured by five years. She is certainly my sweetheart!

My friend Arla told me an experience she had a couple of days ago and I thought I needed to share it. She was at Windy's drive thru in the evening (dark) and while she was waiting in line she noticed a gentlemen (averaged dressed, clean, etc.) digging thru the Akins foods dumpster. After she got her food, she was so curious that she drove back around and asked the guy if he would like $5 to get some milk to go with his food he was getting. He came to her car and said sure that would be really nice. She continued to talk to the man finding out that he had over $300's worth of food in his car from this and other dumpsters. He know just when each store gets rid of their expired food. Although it has an expired date usually the date he picks it up, packaged food is usually good for about 2-3 days more or less. He drove an old car but it was clean and he said it ran well. He takes all of this food he picks up to John 3:16 and to the Tulsa Dream Center so they can cook/distribute it immediately. He said he had been doing this for awhile and just felt like he had a car no money, but good health and that he could do something good some how. He continued to talk to my friend and offered her some of the packaged baby carrots and told her how he several flats of flowers he would give her if she wanted them. He promised to take the flowers and put them on her porch for her.

She said it was just supposed to be, because she had been down in the dumps. You see she is always seeing people doing big things for other and she didn't have anything to give, barley surviving. She was really inspired by this guy because he didn't have anything (money) to give for donations, but was feeding the hungry and helping with the food donations by picking up all of this food from stores for free. I think we are all like this at some times in our lives, feeling like who are we and what do we have to give. Well I think it's just time to look in the mirror and say God what can I do for you today, because he will help us to see ourselves differently and when that happens, we find our own special ways to help others.

So my big television went out again. So we are watching television in my room. But, KK loves it cause she loves to lay and play on my bed and then with everyone in there, she is the star. But I still have my rules, NO eating on my bed, so Brad has to sit her on the foot of the bed with her feet hanging over if she want to snack. I can't stand crumbs in the bed!

Ok, so IPhone apps can be helpful, but they can also be absurd. Kennedy knows how to work the IPhone and my IPod, so when Sarah, yes I said Sarah came over, Kennedy wanted to play a game so she started to find one on Sarah's phone. But instead, she found a FARTING app.

She laughed so hard and thought it was so funny making all those noises.

We finally had to just take it away from her.

Well you can't go to a show without buying everything that they are selling. I had totally forgot what that was like. I quickly remembered why we didn't frequent the traveling shows that came thru town.

We made it to our seat without any questions, but by intermission, KK was like GiGi, I want one of those. I would say, Daddy, KK wants one of those. He just shook his head and said do you know how much that stuff is? Well, I said I'm only doing this once and I now know why I won't be doing this often. KK absolutly loves her trumpet. I posted a video on youtube, it is really dark in the living room, but you will get the just of it.

Had to add this quick little thing. Last night Kennedy did come home and was so glad to be there. She was really eyeing the Christmas tree and finding the new ornaments that I had placed on it since she was gone. One was a little red bell and on the top of the bell was a snowman. She wanted to take it down and look at it and jingle the bell, so of course we did and sang frosty the snowman and jingle bells. After we sang the songs I asked her what frosty was wearing on his ears and she replied very quickly without any question, "headphones". I just laughed to myself because in her little world she was correct! She probably doesn't even remember her experiences with ear muffs.

This morning I was getting ready to leave for work and told her I had to go to work, but I would be home after work and she could spend the night with me again. She said, "ok, gigi, i wait for you, your car." I really missed my sweetie!

I have found that today I am just really excited to see Kennedy. First we thought they were getting in by 4:00, but come to find out now, they have got booted from their flight in Houston and are still waiting to get a flight to Dallas and then to Tulsa. Sarah said we are acting like we were waiting on family that has been gone all summer or something. Well, I'm missed that little girl. Hopefully she will get here before bedtime and can spend the night with her Gigi.

Well I'm glad and sad. Everyone that is always coming and going with excitement is gone.

Bradley and I are ruffing it. Sarah is up north and Katie and Kennedy are gone on a cruise. I'm certainly missing my KK. Well that's all the news here except it is 19 degrees and falling. Just hope I don't fall. Everyone will know I'm sure.

Yep, and I'm 41 today. Doesn't seem so bad until I realize i have a 20 and a 21 year old. But I guess that is good too. I'm now responsible for myself. My kids are growing up and I'm learning to recreate some new important things in my life. But don't get me wrong! My children are always the MOST important.

Well, I just have to put something up here! It won't really be a blog because not much changes with my life on a daily basis, but I do have some favorite moments to put up and cute sayings of my very special grand-daughter!

I took her to a movie at the IMAX. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa It was a little overwhelming to her. We watched most of it but we did leave early. She would turn to me and say "I scared". But it was her first movie and at the IMAX.

I'm planning to take her to go see Bolt on the regular movie screen. I think we'll both like that one.

We had a great Thanksgiving. Definitely Good Eats and Family.

I have to say that KK spent some extra time with me over the Thanksgiving break since I had gone out of town to visit Christina, Kevin and the girls. I believe it was on Saturday evening that Katie was here and was getting ready to go home and told KK "well tell them bye, we have to go home". KK looked at me from across the room and said "GIGI Save ME!" . She ended up running and climbing in my bed and hiding. Daddy had to find her and wrap her up and take her to the car.
